Lexington Breezeway Renovation

The Back Story

This owner came to us with a dilapidated breezeway. He worked with an architect to craft a great design for better use of the space, turning it into a music room and mudroom area with a blue-stone patio area in the front. A new fireplace was also installed.

Original breezeway exterior as attached to main house. Chimney is to be demolished and a gas burning fireplace put in its place.

10/20/15

View of breezeway interior reveals dilapidated nature and poor state of walls and ceiling. Space is being used for general storage and underutilized.

11/17/15

Demo of the breezeway has begun. Excavation is in preparation for new foundation extending the breezeway in the rear. This added space will allow for rear of breezeway to be used as an office or guest bedroom.

11/23/15

Forms are in place in anticipation of pouring concrete for new foundation extending the rear.

12/13/15

Old breezeway floor and chimney have been removed and new walls are being framed.
